The Space

A space designed for childhood

Our Wild Space has been created as somewhere children can move, explore, create, investigate, rest and simply be.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we see the environment as the third teacher. That means the space itself isn't just the backdrop to what we do, it's an important part of the learning.

Rather than filling the space with fixed activities and telling children how to use them, we've created an environment full of possibilities. A hammock can be somewhere to regulate, a place for conversation or a pirate ship. A collection of sticks might become a den, a sculpture, a bug hotel or something we haven't imagined yet.

Children are free to follow their curiosity, use the space in different ways and find what they need from it.
